Tuition & Fees (2009-2010)
All tuition and fee charges at University of Hawai’i campuses are subject to change in accordance with requirements of State law and/or action by the University of Hawai’i Board of Regents or College Administration.

Fees
Add Or Drop Class Fee: $5 is charged each time
a student adds or drops classes in person except
when replacing a canceled class. There is no
fee for adding or dropping courses online. (See
Academic Calendar for Add/Drop dates)
Change of Registration Fee: A $5.00 fee is charged each time a student completes a Change of Registration Form to add or drop a class or classes in person, except when replacing a canceled class. There is no fee for adding or dropping courses online.
Child Care: For information about current fees and payment schedule, call 845-9466. There is a $125 comprehensive fee to hold a child's space in the program after Notification of Acceptance.
College Catalogs: Catalog may be purchased at the Bookstore. (Postage and handling fees apply). The HCC Catalog may also be viewed online or at the Records Office.
Copy of Educational Record: A $2.00 fee is assessed students who request a copy of their educational record each time a copy is requested. Students are also charged $2.00 for each copy of a fee statement or other educational record requested.
Dishonored Checks: $25.00 service charge will be assessed for checks that are made out to Honolulu Community College and returned for any cause.
Duplicate Class Schedule/Bill: $2
Late Registration Fee: A $30 will be assessed for
students registering during the Late Registration
period (see Academic Calendar for dates).
Non-Credit Course Tuition and Fees: Apprentice & Journey Worker: $0.40 per clock hour (Fees for other non-credit courses vary. See course announcements for details.)
Non-Resident Application Fee: $25 per
application. (non-refundable, non-transferable)
Parking Permits: Please see PARKING.
Telecourse Fee: A $22.00 fee is added to cover licensing to the copyright holder and is based on the prevailing tuition & fee schedule.
Textbooks and Supplies: Costs vary widely for
books, tools, and supplies needed for classes.
Textbooks may cost as little as $1.50 or as much
as $70 or more. Approximate costs by program
are listed in the College Catalog.
Transcript Fee: $5 each outside UH system,
$15 for 24-hour rush processing, and extra for
international postage.
