Program Resources
To ensure student success, we are happy to provide our students with as much resources as needed to meet their academic, personel, career, and overall goals. Our inventory of resources are exclusive to our eligible participants.
Laptop Loan-Out Program:
Currently have (10) Dell laptops that are available for our participants to borrow for a two(2) day period to work on homework, class assignments, projects and other academic related work. All of the laptops have wireless connection capabilities on the HCC campus. In addition if you have internet access at home, our laptops are compatible to most services.
- All students will be required to obtain a user name and password from the HCC computer lab that is located in Building 2, Floor 4.
Resource Library:
Our resource library include various types of media (DVD’s, Computer Programs, Books) related to self help skills (mentoring, building self confidence), careers related to various majors, resume writing, interview, cover letter guides, and employment search. Our library also has tutorial media in various subjects related to (Computer, Typing, Math, English, English as a Second Language, essay writing). In addition, we offer resources related to assisting students with financial aid, scholarship search, information regarding transfer and 4-year colleges/universities, and documentaries related to subjects offered here at HCC.
Other Program Supplies:
For all of our PRIDE participants, and to meet the needs of our students majoring in Communication Arts we have the following supplies for you to loan: Digital Camera, Portable Screen, LCD Projector, Video Camera, and Computer Software. To view our entire inventory we stop by our office and we will be more than happy to review it with you.
