Microforms consist of microfilm, microfiche and microcartridge
formats that contain images of printed and graphic material on a
reduced scale. Back issues of periodicals are stored on microforms.
Particularly notable is the microfilm collection of the Honolulu
Advertiser and the Honolulu Star Bulletin dating back
to 1929.
- Microfilm - film rolls on spools.
- Microfiche - small sheets of film.
- Microcartridge - microfilm in a plastic housing
(Specifically, the Magazine Collection that is indexed in InfoTrac.)
Readers/printers for the microforms are available
to view and print articles. Copies are 10 cents a page.
