Computers for Students

The library provides computers with Internet access and OpenOffice software (for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations). These computers may also be used for email and myUH. Students may use these computers by presenting their UH ID cards at the Circulation Counter. Prior to first use, students must agree to adhere to the library's Computer Use Policy.

Because they are also used by the librarians to teach library instruction classes, these computers may be unavailable at times. Students may also use the Computer Lab (Building 2, room 405) and the Native Hawaiian Center Computer Lab (Building 7, room 433).

Hawaii Voyager Computers

Hawaii Voyager is the online catalog of the Libraries of the University of Hawaiʻi system. Computers are provided to search Hawaii Voyager and the library's other databases. The Voyager computers are available to all library users; sign-up is not required.

Printing

Laser printing is available at all computers.
Printouts may be picked up and paid for at the Circulation Counter. The cost is 10¢ per page.

Wireless Network

HCC Library is a wi-fi hot-spot that students may use to connect their laptops to the Internet. Wi-fi access requires a HCC account (different from the myUH account) from the Computer Lab, and set up information from the reference librarian. Set-up info must be updated each semester. Wireless users must comply with University of Hawaii Executive Policy E2.210, "Use and Management of Information Technology Resources".
