HCC Library provides audiovisual equipment to faculty and staff for short-term loan. (If equipment is needed for more than three days, please contact the Educational Media Center (EMC) at 845-9125.) AV equipment is checked out at the Circulation Counter on the 1st floor of the library.

AV Equipment available:
  • tape cassette recorder
  • AM/FM CD tape cassette recorder
  • filmstrip tape cassette player
  • DVD unit (includes monitor, cart, and remotes)
  • VCR unit (includes monitor, cart, and remotes)
  • projection screen
  • slide projector
  • carousel tray
  • overhead projector
  • extension cords
To arrange an AV equipment loan:
  • Complete the AV Equipment Request Form at the Circulation Counter, or,
  • Call Theresa Kaitner at 845-9220, or,
  • Complete the Audiovisual Equipment Request Form on the Web, print, and sign it. Fax it to the Library at 845-3618, or drop it off at the Circulation Counter. (Note: this form requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, or other pdf viewer software.) or,
  • Submit the online AV Request Form one day or more in advance

Cable Course Viewing Area

There are workstations for distance education students to view the DVDs and videotapes of cable courses. Students should present their UH ID cards at the Circulation Counter to check out the cable course videos, and arrange to use the workstations.
