Honolulu Community College Library subscribes to InfoTrac on the Web.

HCC Library subscribes to a number of InfoTrac Databases. Most InfoTrac databases contain indexes to periodical articles, and can be searched by subject or by keyword(s). The full-text of many of the articles is available and can be printed, saved to disk, or emailed to your address.

Please note:: Our InfoTrac license for Web access is limited to Honolulu Community College (HCC) Library users.
Therefore, access from beyond HCC, such as by dial-in Internet connections, requires authentication. Authentication is done with your last name and library card number. Please read the remote authentication instructions if you need further information, or contact a reference librarian.

Database Descriptions

Honolulu Community College Library subscribes to these InfoTrac databases on the Web:

General Reference Center	Current events, popular culture, the arts and sciences, sports, and topics of general interest from magazines, reference books, and newspapers, often with full-text and images. Coverage: 1980 - present
Expanded Academic ASAP	Scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers for researching the arts, humanities, social sciences, science, and technology, many with full text and images. Coverage: 1980 - present
Literature Resource Center (LRC)	Descriptive, critical, and biographical essays and bibliographies from Gale's core reference sources about writers and their works. Coverage includes fiction, drama, poetry, novels, short stories, and journalism by writers from the past through the present day. Our LRC page details the LRC coverage.
OneFile Plus	Indexes articles in over 8,000 magazines, journals, newspapers, and reference sources, many with full-text. Topics include current events, arts and sciences, literature, education, health and medicine, technology, business, legal issues, popular culture, entertainment, sports, etc. OneFile incorporates these InfoTrac databases: Academic Index, Business Index ASAP, Computer Database, Expanded Academic ASAP, General Reference Center, Health Reference Center, LegalTrac, and National Newspaper Index. In addition, our OneFile Plus subscription adds Ingenta, an index to 4,300 periodical titles. Coverage: 1980 - present
Business Index ASAP	Full-text articles and images from business and academic journals for information about companies and industries, economic indicators, business practices, and management issues. Coverage: 1980 - present
Computer Database	Computer-related products, news and reviews about hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications and technology. Coverage: 1980 - present
Health Reference Center	Articles about diseases, fitness, medicine, nutrition, pregnancy, alcohol and drug abuse, public health, occupational health and safety, health insurance, prescription drugs, and more. Coverage: 1999 - present
LegalTrac	Articles from the major law reviews, law journals, specialty law and bar association journals, and legal newspapers. Topics include federal and state cases, laws and regulations, taxation, and international law. Coverage: 1980 - present
National Newspaper Index	Indexes The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post. Coverage: 1977 - present
