Composition

• 6 Faculty (preferably one representative from each division).

Purpose

The EMC Advisory Committee informs and advises the EMC director on budget, equipment, and personnel and encourages faculty participation in new instructional technology. The Educational Media Center is among the fastest changing components on campus and it is the responsibility of the EMC Advisory Committee to ensure that these changes are consistent with the overall needs and directions of the College.

Function

1. Advise the EMC director on the purchase of AV equipment and software.
2. Review and monitor supplies for printing services and maintenance of AV equipment.
3. Work on budgets for all services and activities emanating from the EMC.
4. Play a role in reviewing and revising copyright policies and procedures.
5. Promote integration of major technical instructional systems into curricula.

Workload

The EMC Advisory Committee meets once a month.
