Maintaining your F-1 Status

  1. Enrolled full-time at the college (minimum of 12 credits per semester).
  2. Complete your degree by the completion date listed on your I-20.
  3. Maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA).
  4. Keep your passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your I-20 completion date.
  5. Do not engage in unauthorized employment.
  6. Update your address and phone number with the Records Office within ten (10) days of the change occurring. This information needs to be updated in your SEVIS record.
  7. Obtain a travel signature on your I-20 document before leaving the country (if less than a year old).
