Services for Students: Financial Aid Application Assistance

The Native Hawaiian Center is committed to seeing every student of Hawaiian ancestry achieve their academic and career goals. For many this begins with finding the resources to afford the costs of higher education. The NHC provides a comprehensive array of services to help Native Hawaiian students find and secure the funding they need to attend college. Among the services we provide in the area of Financial Aid application assistance are:

  • Compiling, maintaining and disseminating listings of financial aid opportunities to students
  • Providing financial aid advising to students
  • Conducting general information as well as hands-on workshops to students
  • Personal Statement writing assistance
  • Application assistance

For more information on our Financial Aid Application Assistance opportunities, please contact Leon Florendo, First Year Experience coordinator at (808) 847-9805, leon@hcc.hawaii.edu or visit him in his office in 7-433A.
