Rules

Rules and Regulations

To use this facility please have:

1. A valid student ID (obtainable from Student Life, Bldg. 2 Rm. 111)

2. A HCC student user/e-mail account (obtainable from Main Computer Lab, Bldg. 2 Rm. 405)

3. Your own USB Flash Drive, PC formatted floppy disk/Mac zip disk for saving your data (obtainable from the HCC Bookstore)

4. Money or paper for printing (see policy below). Sign-in with the monitor when you enter.

 

Printing Policy

To print in the lab you will need to do one of the following:

1. Provide your own paper.

2. If using the lab's paper, pay the lab back, in cash, according to the rate scale below:

  1. 1 - 5 pages, $0.10
  2. 6 - 10 pages, $0.25
  3. 11 - 20 pages, $0.50
  4. 21+ pages, $1.00

 

Kapu Activities

All students using the Native Hawaiian Center Computer Lab are required to comply with the University of Hawai'i IT Use Policy. The following activities are not allowed in this lab and will be cause for ejection from the lab facility:

1. Eating and drinking.

2. Smoking.

3. Gaming of any kind.

4. Recreational or personal chats (students needing to chat for class purposes must inform lab monitor first).

5. Accessing of adult sites or material.

6. Downloading or theft of copyrighted material from the machines.
