Do’s & Don’ts:

Answer the questions that are asked
Be specific
Find an angle
Concentrate on your opening paragraph

What’s special, unique, distinctive, and/or impressive about your background?
What details of your life might help the committee better understand you or help set you apart from other applicants?
What personal characteristics do you possess that would improve your prospects for success in the field of profession?

What are your educational goals?
What are your career goals?
Have you had to overcome any unusual obstacles or hardships in your life?
How have they helped with your personal growth?
What are your reasons for attending college?
Why did you choose your course of study?
What career goals do you have?
