Hawaii Veteran’s Memorial Fund [Hawaii Residents Only]

This fund was established in 1945 during the final year of World War II to honor Hawaii’s veterans and to provide funds for higher education. Although this fund was originally intended to benefit veterans of War in furthering their educations, it has since been broadened to help the State of Hawaii educate deserving residents who demonstrate financial need.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Bona fide Hawaii residents (excludes non-residents, non-resident tuition exempts, foreign).
  2. Classified at HCC and enrolled full-time.
  3. Character and qualities indicative of good citizenship.
  4. Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress policies.
  5. Demonstrated financial need as determined by an application for financial aid.

Application Requirements

  1. Complete online scholarship application.
  2. Complete the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarship Amount

Maximum of $500 per year
