INTRASYSTEM LOAN

Materials are shared among the libraries of the University of Hawaii system through Intrasystem Loan (ISL). ISL enables UH students, faculty, and staff to request the transfer of books or articles from one library to another within the UH system. A valid library card is required.

For example, books and journal articles not available at HCC Library may be requested from other UH system libraries.

Tips:

• Where is the material available?
  Check the Hawaii Voyager WebPAC, online Indexes and Databases, and/or the HCC Periodicals List.

• Consult a reference librarian.
• Ask your "home" library about loan periods, procedures, and possible fees for ISL, as these may vary between libraries.
