INSTRUCTIONS FOR TAKING
Midterm EXAM
- OCTOBER 20 – OCTOBER 27
HISTORY 151 – FALL 2008
SMITH
GO TO STUDY GUIDE FOR THE Midterm EXAM
GENERAL COMMENTS:
You will have one week in which you can take the exam – between October 20 - 27. You should plan on at least 11/2 - 2 hours to complete the exam - you will have a maximum time of 3 hours. (Remember, if you take the exam in a testing center - you need to check the hours so that you have enough time before they close; you must comply with their hours of operation.)
The terms requiring written
identifications will be chosen from the study guide list. Identifications
should be at least 6-7 sentences and cover the major points discussed related
to that term to provide a complete answer.
The questions requiring short answer responses will be specific questions *taken from* the broader general/main ideas on the study guide. Short answers should be at least half a page to fully answer the questions. Recognize - specific length is less important than completeness of the answers.
You need to bring your own lined paper for the exam.
You are NOT to use notes, books, etc..
I will get exams back to you as soon as possible (for neighbor island students, recognize I have to get the exams sent to me, then grade them, and send them back to you.)
