Introduction to Gas WeldingThis course explains how oxyacetylene gas welding equipment is used to weld ferrous metals. Safety procedures, equipment, and techniques will be described. Topics to be covered include welding in the flat position, welding of butt, T-fillet, and lap joints. You will be expected to purchase or bring your own equipment to class. This class is for persons who have had some or no formal training in the use of gas welding equipment. All Intro to Gas Welding class fees include a $65 shop. Introduction to Blueprint ReadingThis course is designed to provide you with that foundational knowledge and enough practice at reading blueprints to get you started. The use of scales, alphabet of lines, symbols, and the interpretation of floor, elevation, section, and detail drawings will be covered. Open Enrollment WeldingCustomized 20-hour classes can be arranged to meet your schedule. Learn how to TIG, MIG, arc, or gas weld as your schedule permits. You will first review basic safety procedures, equipment set-up, proper use and care of equipment and welding techniques before welding.
