Profile

Jolene Suda is the first generation college student and former TRIO-SSS participant who graduated from Colorado State University with a BA in History. In 2002, she earned a Masters in Education Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is working towards a PhD as an unclassified student in Education also at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Jolene is currently the Project Director of the Pride Project which is a TRIO-SSS program that is federally funded to provide services to students to first generation, low income and disabled college students. She is a Co-Adviser for the ASUH-HCC Senate and provides faculty support to HCC-NHC's Hawaiian Club.In addition she has worked as a part time teacher for the Department of Education, a Sill Trainer and case Manager for Autistic Children, an instructor at Hawaii Job Corps and Program Assistant/Tutor Coordinator at Chaminade University. In all she has over 10 Years of experience working both in the lower and higher education realms with students of diverse background.
